What should you know about the "WESTERN MEDIA"

What is "WESTERN MEDIA" ?
           

So, first of all lets start with the definition of "western media".

"The  Western media refers to the news media of the Western world.It evolved during the second world war to counter the media of Soviet Union".
For example, the leading NEWS channels in USA are CNN, FOX NEWS, etc.And the popular NEWS papers are Washington post, The News, etc.

                                         What we think that the main goal of this media is freedom of speech, to inform people whats going on around the world and get to the truth.But what people don't know is how politicized this media is and what they really want to achieve.

                                        What you should know and what i am going to discuss here are the goals of western media behind the scene. I will discuss mostly about American media but let me point out that i am not generalizing the whole American media/media, there are journalists, who perform there responsibility honestly and have no secret mission.Following is the brief info about the behind the scene goals;

Political Goals :

                                       Media is the main source to achieve the political goals of politicians or war lords. Political goals can be positive but i am here to discuss the negative scene, which the media make it look good for you. Those goals are to hide the truth from the people, to justify their wrong decisions and to get the support of the local people by feeding them lies or keep the busy in another story.

                                      The points that i am going to discuss below are mostly political too and all these tactics are used to mislead the people. 

Brain washing :

                                     This is one of the main goals.The major problem here is that the people don't even know that they are being brain washed.Now a question will arise in your mind that "how they are brain washing you".Well its not such a hard question to answer,lets define brain washing, brainwashing refers to the involuntary reeducation of basic beliefs and values" The term has been applied to any tactic, psychological or otherwise, which can be seen as subverting an individual's sense of control over their own thinking, behavior, emotions or decision making.For example if  you don't know anything about a country, religion or any other story etc then the media is the only way through which you get to know a little bit and so it all depends on them that what they want you to know because many people don't have tome or guts to research about that story to get to know the real truth.Media really effects the way you think about anyone any group because they will give you only one sided view or the negative view of the story.

Biased media :

                              Biased means " unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something "
Western media is highly biased in the selection of events and stories that are reported and how they are covered. We all know how biased North Korea media is there are many western journalist and news producers give only one sided view and are unable to give a neutral point of view. 

Double standard :

                             Its a major problem with western media, their double standard on a specific country or a religion especially Islam.For example the word terrorist is used as a synonym for Muslims and if a Muslim commit any hate crime, you will see breaking news all over the media that a "terrorist Muslim"  has done this and there will be talk shows on that but when a non-Muslim commit the same crime they will just call him a criminal and that story will not get much coverage.
